Patrons App

Legal Notice

Effective 11 August 2026

Who publishes Patrons App, and what it is and is not in regulatory terms.

Not a financial service

Patrons App is a convenience utility, not a finance app. It helps you find people nearby, copies their UPI ID to your clipboard and opens your own UPI app so you can paste it there. That is the whole of what it does.

We never hold, receive, transmit, route, convert, settle or refund money, and we have no visibility into any payment you make. We are not a bank, a non-banking financial company, a prepaid payment instrument issuer, a payment aggregator, a payment gateway, a payment system operator or a third-party application provider, and we are not authorised under the Payment and Settlement Systems Act, 2007. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to NPCI, UPI, any bank or any payment application.

Every payment happens entirely inside the third-party UPI app you choose, governed by that app’s terms and your bank’s terms. We charge no fee and take no commission.

You use Patrons App entirely at your own risk. PPLST Tech Private Limited accepts no responsibility or liability of any kind for any payment you make, any loss you suffer, or any transaction initiated after using the App. The App does nothing more than direct you to your own payment application with a UPI ID on your clipboard. What happens after that is between you, that application, your bank and the recipient.

Regulatory status

Patrons App is a software utility. Its only function is to help two people who are physically near each other exchange a UPI ID, and to open a third-party payment application so that ID can be pasted into it.

We wish to be unambiguous about what that means:

Every payment is initiated, authenticated and settled entirely within the regulated UPI application that you choose, under that application’s terms and your bank’s terms. The relationship for that payment is between you, that application, your bank and the recipient. We are not a party to it.

Trade marks

UPI, BHIM and related marks belong to the National Payments Corporation of India. Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and other application names belong to their respective owners. They are referred to here only to describe interoperability, and no affiliation or endorsement is implied.

Grievances

Complaints about the App may be sent to admin@pplsttech.com and will be acknowledged within a reasonable period. Complaints about a payment must be raised with the UPI application you used or with your bank, as we hold no record of it and have no ability to investigate it.
